Today was Apple's first pool experience. Needless to say, he spent the first few minutes trying to jump out and peeped for me to rescue him. Then something amazing happened, he realized how to use his webbed feet and zoomed across the pool like a rocket. He was pretty stoked after that.
Apple has easily doubled in size already. He's also responding well to his name, when I call him he cocks his head to the side, looks up at me, and shows a sly grin. I never imagined a duckling would have so much personality. (I should really get out of the habit of calling it a boy, because it's too early to be sexed.)
